Chere Lynn Rinaldi, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away suddenly at the age of 69 on February 18, 2026, in Forked River, New Jersey. Born on September 23, 1956, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey, she was raised in Hawthorne, New Jersey and later made her home in Paramus, New Jersey, where she shared her life with her husband Frank and her loyal pet Otis before moving down the shore.
Chere was a compassionate soul with a generous heart, known for her love of animals, her infectious laughter, and her ability to turn even the simplest moments into joyful celebrations. She was a dedicated professional who worked for many years and retired from BASF Corporation as a scheduler, but her true passions extended beyond her career; she enjoyed weekend trips to Atlantic City, entertaining friends at her waterfront home, reading, cooking, and checking in on those she loved. A proud graduate of Hawthorne High School and William Paterson University with a BA in Business, Chere’s warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.
She was predeceased by her brother Sean Patrick Reilly, her mother Barbara Reilly and her beloved pets Dallas, Buddy, and Sammy.
She is survived by her loving husband Frank, her faithful dog Otis, her nieces Nicole Smith and Christine Rinaldi, her nephew Daniel Rinaldi, her brother-in-law Dan Rinaldi and sister-in-law Joyce Rinaldi, and her dear friends and family who will cherish her memory forever. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her favorite charity, Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, in Forked River, New Jersey, honoring her lifelong love of animals and her generous spirit.
